Through my page I would like to express some of my deepest feelings and thoughts through poetry.
I am not entirely sure what to do with the romance section of this page, I would greatly appreciate all of your imput. --- Thank You Shyfemme
This is the first poem that I would like to share:
Pleasure
"In her small quaint room,
Staring at her posters of admired celebrities
A girl sits,
Waiting, wanting wondering,
When will it happen?
When will her dream man come to her?
Hopeing, praying, planning everything
To the smallest detail of what,
She might be wearing.
She stares into the junk filled corner
Aspiring for that first time.
When she feels that delicate touch
From him that she's been desiring
Since they had first crossed paths.
Will it be him?
Her tall, dark muscular dream man,
The man stiing next to her in class.
Or the least expected, the best friend,
Helping her with her math homework.
Never to be known, the anticipation more than can be handled.
Listening to others, wanting it even more,
Living off of the thoughts, the stories, the television allusions created,
Believing, it will all come about like in some romance novel
Thinking that love will come automatically, like in the movie love stories.
Knowing that it wont but it's a helpful thought to get her through the day.
When all that has been desires,
Falls into place and he finally comes toward her in a different sort of way,
A way that says everything that she has wanted.
A happiness falls over her and for once her small room,
Doesn't seem to be so lonely.
She loves every second, every minute, every hour,
Nothing could be better than this moment in time.
Finally it all comes to an end and thoughts begin to race,
All the memories of how it was before,
And just how enjoyable, the waiting was.
Never having thought about the consequences
Always believing like a child
That everything would turn out good,
Never having thought that it was better before.
Now her life is ruined no great happiness,
Everything suddenly taken
For what?
Just a few moments of pleasure."
